About me - Ruth Jenkins
In the caring professions for over three decades
Carers Outreach & Wellbeing Practitioner
Chronic Conditions Nurse
BACP Counsellor
ILM Level 5 Coach
RGN (retired)
I started my career working with older adults in residential accommodation, before training as a Nurse in London and going on to work in A&E, Minor Injuries, and Chronic Conditions Management. Whilst working in the NHS I trained to become a coach, gaining my ILM 5 in 2017.

As part of my role I delivered Acceptance and Commitment Therapy sessions to the general public, which opened my interest in mindfulness and meditation (still a work in progress).

My passion for promoting Wellbeing led me to working with a Domestic Violence project and enrolling on a Foundation Degree Course in Counselling with Colleg Sir Gar, from which I graduated in 2023.

I am now working with a Carers Support Charity, offering one-to-one support, group support and training. I also run my own business offering coaching and counselling -
Bluebird Wellbeing
